The Experience of a Highly Interactive

Teaching and Learning Environment

The Workshop Model is the mode of delivery in this experiential focus upon the components of highly interactive teaching and learning environments.  O’Reilly employs an array of participatory tools, with high literacy emphasis—reading, writing, speaking, listening and thinking—to bring the participant to an experience of the merits of highly-interactive environments. This is not a “how-to” but rather an experiential  discovery of the advantage of such a  learning locale.  Another  critical method of introduction to this learning genre will be Roland Christensen’s case study approach, pioneered at the Harvard Business School and reflected in all the curricula and staff development at Harvard University. Mr. O’Reilly will employ case studies written in the authentic, chaptered, Christensen style.  It is hoped that the workshop will become the beginnings of an ongoing symposium on interactive learning and the case study approach, with participants learning how to read and write their own dynamic case studies for the advancement of interactive learning.
